Mardi Himal

A relatively new trekking route that stays quieter than its Annapurna-region neighbours, Mardi Himal climbs a narrow forested ridge before opening onto alpine meadows with a stunning close-up view of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail).

The final push to base camp, walking a knife-edge ridge with Annapurna South's wall filling the sky, is one of the most dramatic short-trek finales in Nepal.
